My five points to succeed freshman year.
          Being organized

  • Having separate sections on your laptop for different classes, so you don't lose assignments. Have folders for handouts that you get in class.
         Turning work in on time.
  • Don't turn in homework late and get good grades. Try to utilize your off mods and get homework done.
      Getting to class on time
  • Don't fool around in the hallways, for example don't stop and talk to friends. If you know that you wont have time to get your books. You should bring books for your next class.
Follow all the rules and guideline of John Carroll
  • Don't break rules and fool around in school. Make sure that your uniform is by school standards and that your shirt tail tucked in.

Use your computer when told to
  • Don't play games on your computer when the teacher is talking. Use your computer for school work only, for example don't check other things like your email or YouTube during class unless told to.

First blog

Tucker Bailey                                                                                                                             8/27/14

Going into my first day of high school, I was very nervous and afraid of what it was going to be like. I was paranoid, my palms were sweating, and I felt sick to my stomach. When my sister and I got to school I immediately asked her were i go and were to put my bags. She helped me so much I don't if I could have made it with out her. I put my bags away after having trouble with my locker for like four minutes and went straight to my advisory. My adviser is very nice and welcoming towards me, as well as the students she has had in recent years. She explained so many important details and facts about John Carroll and how to succeed at this school. On my first day I got to meet my teachers for most of my classes. My favorite teacher so far would have to be Mr. Kimble. There are a lot of new things in high school that I did not have in middle school, for instance, we have off mods and sports after school. I thought my first day was gonna be bad experience for me. I soon realized that i had nothing to worry about, they were inviting to me. They understood that it would a adjustment for us and they did everything they could to help us out. I hope I have a amazing journey at John Carroll.
